The Gift of Imagination

Posted on November 20, 2015 by Amazing Capes

While walking around the park the other day I passed a parent who was pushing their child in a stroller; her perceptive eyes were glued to the screen of a small tablet as they went along the path. I noticed her eyes didn't gravitate from the screen as we passed the tall misty fountain nor did they look curiously upon a family of nearby ducks. Rather the screen held focus as it edged out the time old tradition of people-watching as humans and doggies jogged pass. The beauty is in its simplicity; the owner has the power to create the world they imagine while they engage with their surroundings creatively and purposefully. When this happens one enjoys the beauty of living life fully. Much of the excitement that one seeks on the screen is actually being played out. What better gift is there? Let's spread the joy of imagination to those you love this holiday season.
